Before you go anywhere, you must learn your starter move. Since you are Dark your starter move shall be taught to you by Dusk, an expert in Dark combat and training. She will be your guide in learning your first move.
When you first start, she will ask you which starter move you wish to learn. It can be one of the following:
Fire spark: Hits opponents with a flick of flame
Element: Fire
Damage: 5hp
Learn at level: Learn after training
Earth tremble: Creates a mini earthquake
Element: Earth
Damage: 3hp
Learn at level: Learn after training
Dark swipe: Hits the enemy with a waft of shadow
Element: Dark
Damage: 4hp
Learn at level: Learn after training
Each one has its own advantage and disadvantages, but any of them can lead you on the path to victory. Once you have chosen one, you will fight against a tester enemy (usually something caught from Tyron Plains) using your new attack.
Depending on its accuracy, it will either hit or miss and the higher the damage rating, the more health the enemy will lose. All moves made by the enemy are controlled by staff as well as whether your attack is a hit or miss.
If you win, you will permanently learn your move and automatically be put set on level 5. After this, you are free to move on to the next area as long as you have proof you learned your move (in this case, it will be a password given to you after you've learned your move).
If you lose, your trainer will give you full health again and they will send another creature out for you to battle.
Once you've moved on, your level and learnt move will be put in the Character's files along with your character's info. You can also put your level and learnt move into your signature. It isn't compulsory, but its good thing to do if you don't want to forget any details on your journey.
