Basic Battling and leveling « Thread Started on Aug 11, 2008, 3:06am »
Once you have created a character, you cannot immediately start battling. First, you must train in you selected region (Light or Dark) and learn you first move which will either be a light, wind or a water move for Light and a dark, fire or earth move of Dark. Once you have been proven worthy to start, you may go out into the wilderness and battle arenas and fight your heart out. The more you fight, the more levels you'll gain. The higher your levels, the more moves you'll learn.
Battling works with each player using one attack at a time. They can only attack once per post and if they use a healing item it takes up one post.
Leveling up works quite simply.
If you win a battle, you gain 1 experience per word written during that match. Get 500 experience you gain a level. This works until level 10 in which you have to write 1000 words per level. It goes like this:
1-10: 500 words 11-20: 1000 21-30: 2000 31:40: 3000 and so on...
If you lose a match, the experience is halved.
Rules
NO GODMODING OR POWERPLAYING: You can inflict damage but you have to note and take damage yourself. Lets be serious- nobody can dodge every move or inflict damage every turn. Staff members will watch a battle and make sure everything goes smoothly. If they notice somethings wrong, they will come in and fix it.
Censorship: Not too much blood, ripping off body parts e.t.c. Will accept a bit but keep it to a minimum.
Be serious to your character's level: A level 3 player has no chance against a level 45 character. But this doesn't mean you can for that one moment you can be just as powerful, it doesn't make sense!
Acceptance: Accept once in a while you've got to lose. Everyone does especially new players. You never 'die' in this game since you are already dead. If you are 'killed', a staff member will be notified and they shall be forced to send you to the nearest town or base. You won't lose any levels but you may lose items.
